Nevada is known for its deserts and dry climate. In the southern part of the state, Las Vegas attracts tourists from all around the world for its excitement and world class casinos. Not too far away is the Hoover Dam which damns the largeste reservoir in the United States and provided power to much of Nevada, California, and Arizona. The Northern part of the state is known for the clear and crisp waters of Lake Tahoe and the city of Reno.
