NYU Langone Dental Medicine’s health partner sites in Massachusetts are located throughout the state. While the City of Boston established free dental programs for children as early as 1916, the first health center dental program was developed in the late 1960’s. In 2019, 9.4% of people in Massachusetts had incomes below the poverty line ($25,596 for a family of four) and 5.9% of people under age 65 and below 138% of the poverty line did not have health insurance.
