Build healthy communities. The Holyoke Health Center provides comprehensive medical and dental services, behavioral health, pharmacy, and community programs. The culture of this center reflects a “Patient Centered Medical Home” system of healthcare delivery where providers work as a team to supply the best and unique care for each individual patient. The program benefits from co-locations with the medical teams, where clinical issues, diabetes, HIV, Hep C and other diagnoses can be managed. The integrated health and dental record system allows for both medical and dental staff to be updated in any pertinent information as needed. The AEGD Residents are primarily based within the Chicopee Health Center, with a rotation through the Holyoke site. The dental departments have 2 accredited dental sites, one in Chicopee, the other in Holyoke. The Residents will have access to both state-of-the-art dental facilities, utilizing the latest technologies in patient care and treatment. At the sites, the Residents will provide adult and pediatric comprehensive dental care. Training with specialists in all disciplines of dentistry, oral surgery, pedodontics, orthodontics, periodontics and endodontics. Chicopee Health Center recently implemented a dental implant program. The Residents will work with the faculty in the selection of the patients. Under the direct supervision of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, will experience hands-on placement of the implant. The Residents will then be responsible to follow the case until the final restoration is completed. A 5 chair expansion at the Chicopee site will be completed in early 2019 and will include a digital Cone Beam Computerized Tomography. The sites are equipped with digital radiography and the Chicopee site has 3M digital scanning.
