The Heart of Our Community. Lynn Community Health Center is a non-profit, multicultural, community health center whose presence is at the heart of the community in its culturally diverse neighborhoods. Focused on children, adults, elderly and infirm who have little or no access to care -over 90% of the Center's patients live at or more than 200% below the federal poverty level. Over 50% of the population in surrounding communities are non-english speaking. Comprehensive medical and dental services are provided and include: family medicine, family planning (including free pregnancy tests), HIV testing and counseling, laboratory work, low-cost prescription medications, OB/GYN (including prenatal care and education), social services and referrals, teen clinic and urgent and dental care. The Dental Clinic has 15 faculty practitioners and 12 fully equipped operatories, including one specially designed for pediatric patients. Residents will provide oral health services including emergency, preventative, restorative (includes fillings, root canals, treatment of gum disease, crowns, and bridges), minor oral surgery/extractions and pediatric dentistry.
