Residents and Pediatric Dentist from across the country attended the AAPD Pediatric Oral Health Advocacy Conference in Washington DC from March 3-6. NYU Langone Health residents and faculty from five states, along with residents and faculty from across the country, spent the day learning about national advocacy. They also met with members of congress and their teams to advocate for Title VII(HRSA) funding for pediatric dentistry, The Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act(ELSA), and The Resident Education Deferment Interest (REDI) Act. NYU Langone sponsored a networking dinner for faculty and staff that attended. Residents gained the experience and lifelong skills to carry forward advocacy efforts and leadership in the future.
