Maryland - Choptank Community Health Systems - PEDS

Located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Choptank Community Health System (CCHS) is a private, non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), serving the residents in Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Annes and Talbot Counties.

For over 40 years, Choptank Health has been committed to providing access to exceptional, comprehensive, and integrated health care for all through our medical, dental, and behavioral health services.

CCHS dental sites are equipped with state-of-the art dental equipment including but not limited to digital x-rays, intra-oral cameras, Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), and Nitrous oxide sedation. In collaboration with a local hospital in Dorchester County and Kent County we proudly conduct a hospital-based OR program, offering comprehensive dental treatment to children under general anesthesia.

Residents on our site have opportunities to rotate through emergency medicine and pediatric medicine. In addressing the substantial dental needs of our underserved community, residents play a vital role in providing comprehensive dental treatment for pediatric patients. Additionally, under orthodontic supervision, residents engage in interceptive orthodontic treatment.

Upon program completion, residents will graduate as proficient and self-assured pediatric dentists, capable of delivering comprehensive treatment plans for pediatric patients.
