What is the mission of your training site?
To train dental practitioners by equipping them to provide high quality dentistry and to decrease the many oral health disparities among the greater Detroit communities.

What types of dental services can I expect to perform?
Restorations, Extractions (surgical, and including impacted 3rd molars), Endodontics (including molar root canal), crown and bridge, pedodontics, removable prosthodontics, Implant restorations.

What types of technologies can I expect to use?
CBCT, lasers, rotary endo 

What is the patient population?
The majority of the patients at our residency clinic will be low income, predominantly black, hispanic, and also immigrants to the US, special needs. 

What is life like outside of the training site?
Downtown and midtown Detroit are only 15 minutes from the main clinic and are starting to come alive with amazing restaurants, outdoor spaces, farmers markets, sporting events, and concerts. We would encourage residents to live in Hamtramck, a mecca for people of different cultures, where residents can learn more about the many people groups in the Detroit area.

Will residents have the opportunity to restore and/or place implants at your training site? In clinic at Covenant residents will have the opportunity to restore implants. However, residents will go through the NYU Langone implant course which includes a hands on implant placement and restoration component.

Will residents treat children in your training site? Residents will be able to see children with restorative, oral surgery and fixed treatment with the option of nitrous oxide.
