What is the mission of your training site?
The mission of the LECOM School of Dental Medicine is to prepare students to become dentists through programs of excellence in education, research, clinical care, and community service to enhance the quality of life through improved health for all humanity.

What types of dental services can I expect to perform?

Residents will gain extensive clinical experience and be able to work at their own pace through the didactic curriculum.  Residents will gain experience in:

• Creating advanced treatment plans
• Complex Prosthodontic treatment
• Rotary Endodontics
• Oral surgery experience with extractions and pre-prosthetic surgery
• Guided implant surgery with CBCT planning
• Restoration of implants
• Surgical Periodontics

What types of technologies can I expect to use?

• Full mouth and individual tooth digital x-rays
• Cone bean CT scanning
• Minimally invasive sinus augmentation surgical instrumentation

What is the patient population?
70% of the patient population are retirees/senior citizens

What is life like outside of the training site?
Top things to see and do in Bradenton include the Bradenton Riverwalk, The South Florida Museum, Village of the Arts, LECOM Park, and Old Manatee. Close to Tampa Bay and great beaches. 

Will residents have the opportunity to restore and/or place implants at your training site?
Guided implant surgery is offered with CBCT planning and restoration of implants.

What is the faculty to student ratio? 
Approximately 4 to 1

Will residents treat children in your training site?
Very few.
